Tv_w3207c In a stunning blow to, to….Well, me! Dell has decided to stop selling there “Flat Screen LCD” televisions. No more Dell TV’s? Okay, Dell makes computers for Microsoft so I have no use for that end of their product line. Sure, if I had money to blow, I would throw caution to the wind and get a warrenty-less Ubuntu Dell. But I don’t. But I swear by their Televisions. Go ahead, hate me if you want but I have a Dell (TV) and I love it. I use it for TV and as a monitor for my Desktop. I’ve got a big Ole monitor I can move a lot of stuff around on, and if I want to watch TV I just hit PIP and BAMM! My computer and Television!

I’ve actually never been happier with a television my entire life. It’s sleek and it looks good in the living room. I will be sorry to see them go as I think they did far better job with LCD’s then they do with computers. But I’m a Mac guy so you can take that for what it’s worth.

Bloomberg–Dell will quit producing liquid-crystal display TVs under its own brand this month, according to four people who asked not to be named because of confidentiality agreements. The Round Rock, Texas-based company will continue to sell TVs from other manufacturers, including Sony Corp.

The company started sales of Dell-branded TVs in November 2003, eight months before Michael Dell handed his chief executive officer job over to Kevin Rollins. In August 2005, Rollins told reporters in Hong Kong that he wanted Dell’s TV business to match its 19 percent share of the PC market, the biggest at that time.
