Probably no band has been more influential over the last 20 years than the Pixies. They’re sound, writing style is deeply entrenched in so many bands sounds that Kurt Cobain famously claimed he’d ripped them off for Teen Spirit. And you can see why he said it. But sadly they were the van Gogh’s of the rock  scene – gigantic to the people who knew, but unknown by the masses. Thankfully history righted itself and when the band reunited a couple years ago they were recieved by huge crowds and mad adoration. They purportedly at work on a new CD (!!!), but til then enjoy this vintage clip of "Gigantic" from 1988.
