Harry Potter, the new children's bible cleans up over the weekend. According to Scholastic Inc. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows sold a record 8.3 million copies in the United States within 24 hours of going on sale.
A friend of mine is annoyed at the ideal that Harry Potter is what made adults read again. I thought that was a funny assessment of the Potter domination. Actually I thought it was the Da' Vinci Cocde that got adults interested in reading again. But when you look at numbers like this for a children's book, well, it ain't just kids buying them. Deathly Hallows only compitetion is "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince".
