One of the very best things about a Vaja case is opening the box and having that wave af leather hit your aromatic senses. Man that's good stuff. Vaja sent me their dark brown Visor case built for the 755p and 750v. I've been using it since the day my 755p came off the FedEx truck. Since I do not own a 750v, I cannot speak to that phone and this case, although I cannot imagine there is too much difference. But for the purposes of this review, I will only refer to the 755p.

 

 

This is a very simplistic case that fits snuggly over your Treo. The cut outs for the camera and the speaker on the back are impeccably cut. There is no overlay or under cut. The finish is very smooth but manages to keep that feel of grip in the palm of your hand. I have yet to feel like I am going to drop it.

The flap. or window cover is nicely achieved. It snaps tightly over the face of the treo and holds on well. The window is a nice hard plastic that gives you confidence that your treo screen will be protected. It too has a perfectly cut opening for the ear speaker. the hole is covered with a strong mesh just like the back speaker cut out.

The band that holds the flip is well built and sturdy, there is no worry of it weaing out. The only worry I would have is the tension of the snap sides on the flip portion. it seems possible that over time they may loosen and not hold as tightly. But it really doesn't look to be a problem as this is a well constructed case. The very best as[ect of this case is its thinness.

If you have a 755p, the first thing you notice is how much thinner it is to any other treo you've owned. This case does not take that away from you. If anything it makes it roughly the same thickness of the 700p or 650. Okay, that takes it away, but it does not turn your treo into a Military Walkie-Talkie. In fact, with the case on, I could charge my treo on my Sedio charging dock with no extra effort. This is helped by the cut out for all of your ports on the bottom. This is another thing I really like, they didn't attempt to cut around the headphone jack or any of the ports you need. This is something that I have found annoying on other cases. This is a very elegant case. You won't feel as though you are hiding the beauty of your treo behind a case. To the contrary, you will be adding a beauty and elegance to your 755p that cannot be denied. If you are in the market for a sturdy thin case to care for your treo, the Vaja could be the case for you. As always with Vaja cases, you can design your own. Pick colors, cut outs and or add ons. This of course creates the old "ding" on the cash register, but I think that with a starting price of $90, this case as is, is perfect. Vaja Click the pics for a closer view.
