This bit started to make the rounds yesterday. Hackers have found a way to get Mac OS X (Leopard) running on a Windows PC.
From an article on PC World:
The OSx86 Scene forum has released details of how Windows users can migrate to Apple's new OS, without investing in new hardware -- even though installing Leopard on an PC may be counter to Apple's terms and conditions.
The forum is offering full instructions on how to install the system, including screenshots of the installation process.
I guess this falls into the fair play category. Since you can (and many people do) run Windows XP or Vista within Parallels on their Macs, it was only a matter of time before some folks figured a way to do the opposite.
Not all the features of Leopard function with the patch -- Wi-Fi, support, for example, is reportedly inoperable. Historically, Apple's likely next move will be to track down and act against those behind the hack.
I can't really say I'll be checking this out. As a Windows user, if I really wanted to run Leopard, I'd go buy a Mac. Since I've already been there and done that and came back to Windows, I'll leave that for the more adventurous of folks out there.
If you fall into that category and get it to work, drop us a line to share your experiences.

1I’ve already upgraded my Macbook to Leopard and so far it’s working very well. The upgrade went easily and the tools are pretty cool. The ones I liked most are the new Finder that imports the Cover Flow function from iTunes and the new iChat which allows the insertion of images and films. If you haven’t upgraded yet, there are some interesting videos I’ve found that show Leopard’s new tools and effects:
