Let me first state for the record, Palm OS fans are not going to be happy about this one.  MotionApps, the makers of fabulous applications for the PalmOS, as just intro'd a new and very cool app.

Now in beta, mDesktop allows Windows Mobile users to do everything that can be done on your WM phone, on the big screen of your desktop.

In their words:

"Everything you do with your Windows Mobile smartphone you can now do from your PC - on your big screen, big keyboard and complete integration with your desktop.
With mDesktop on your PC and Windows Mobile smartphone connected to it you can:
make outgoing calls from the smartphones address book
manage incoming ones with ease from your desktop
have threaded SMS conversations
manage images
manage calendar and contacts straight on your phone, no synchronization required

We added few more things we thought you might appreciate like:
install CABs and add favorites with one mouse drag
be able to see the actual phone screen real time (excellent for demos and presentations!)
access files on the smartphone
see at a glance important notifications and statuses on the smartphone and other vital signs."

They want to hear from you, so go over and take the app for a spin." 

Meanwhile, Palm fans, don't fret, I'm sure they will release a Palm version as soon as they're sure it's safe.
