This world- and moreover our country- is so generally focused on eat carbohydrates.  Everything has some form of a "carb" in it.  You look in your salad dressing it even has forms of corn in it.  Carbs are everywhere and there are even diets that warn against eating them.  I don't believe that way, but what I do believe- through self and client trial and error as well as many other's research- I present to you.

You should try to eat only "good" carbs.

Pasta and bread does not fall in that category. A couple days ago I ate as my main meal carbs: squash, sweet potato and carrots and the next day in my training session I was barely tired!

Try to eat less processed carbs such as zucchini, squash, carrots, yams, sweet potatoes. Also if you do eat grains eat such as barley, old fashioned oats, brown and wild rice, quinoa, millet, amaranth. But in general try to avoid carbs such as pasta, breads and other processed foods even if they are made from quality ingredients.

Corn is very starchy and has some pretty bad pesticides used on it to grow. These chemicals increase estrogen in your body which suppresses your natural testosterone and growth hormone levels.  When this happens you lose muscle mass, store fat and retain water.

Just so you are aware some of the worst foods to eat are deli meats as they all have very high sodium content and carcinogens(cancer causing agents in the form of sodium nitrate).  Also eating really heavy foods such as beef, pork, chicken(and any poultry).  These meats absorb only about 50% or less of their protein content and it often times takes a few days or even weeks to fully leave your body depending on your regularity.  During that time these foods rot in your gut and give off adverse gases as well as keep good nutrients from being absorbed properly.

When you are eating dairy foods only consume whole milk dairy products and organic- raw milk products are the best.  Think about it: The “Western Diet” tells us to eat low fat, low carb, low cholesterol, low calorie and by doing so we’ve managed to become the most unhealthy and fat country in the world.  Seems like their methods are WRONG!  Let’s try it another way- a better way.  The way nature intended it is without any change to it.  Make sense?  If you want more info on this let me know.  I have lots.

Finally when you follow, what I believe to be the most natural and absolute best way of eating and living, the Warrior Dieting Lifestyle you must stop thinking like the conventional folks.  The following has been proven.

You must allow yourself to eat what you want at whatever amount you want- BUT at night.  Follow the 16-18 hour daily "Undereating Phase" where you have only fruits and veggies and maybe some low food chain protein such as whole dairy or eggs if and only if you need this. The human body does not NEED protein during the day as we regenerate over 75% of our muscle each night while we sleep.  So naturally if you eat your protein at night you will digest and absorb it while you sleep to do what it instinctively is designed to do.

You then have a 4 hour "Overeating Phase" at night.

Ok I understand that you might want to kill some cheese cake from time to time. :)  That's okay!

In order to sum up you must:

1)Learn what foods are good for your health and what are not.

2)Try the "real"(not processed) foods without worrying about quantity.

3)Incorporate whichever food has done wonders for you in your diet.

I hope none of this discourages you, but rather encourages you to tweak your eating life in order to be the best and healthiest you can be.   Your health is everything you have.  Without it you have nothing and neither do your loved ones closest to you.
