Luckily for pure metal fans "Murder Face" and "DethKloc" are around to feed the need for speed, because Metallica seems hell bent on selling tickets to "A" fan. After the whole "Don't download our music" episode, the band has decided to annoy Bloggers as opposed to just their die hard fans. Metallica and management invited a few reviewers to have a listen to a few of the tracks on the new upcoming album. A move only done when tracks are done and to your satisfaction. Metallica is claiming those tracks were rough and shouldn't be reviewed.
Of course the reviewers posted their reviews on their perspective sites which quickly resulted in the wrath of Metallica, forcing the removal of said reviews, reviews that came without any NDA agreements. And if I'm reading this correctly, one of the reviewers was threatened somehow. That's just a guess by me.
Not sure where Metallica is headed with all this. I agree with their distain with how the internet has done damage to the business of making music, but you have to learn the age old adage "If you can't beat em', join em'."
