I have been using SplashID since the days of my Treo600.  Along with MissingSync, it was one of the very first applications I purchased to start me on my Treo journey.  I say that because using SpashID has become second nature to me.  Whenever I get a new login, password, serial number or whatever I need to have at my fingertips, I immediately put it into to SplashID and sync it up.

Four Treo's, one Centro and one Blackberry later, SplashID as remained a very important part of my mobile and computing life.  I was excited to see that SplashID had been updated to 4.0 for Palm, but was dejected to find out that the desktop version was not yet made for Mac users, so I stuck with v3.  But then came the Blackberry 8830, and low and behold, there's a version for Blackberry.  But of course there's no Mac support right?  Right.

But then SplashData releases the stand alone desktop version of SplashID and what do you know, it supports Mac!  Not only does it support Mac, but it will also sync with your updated mobile version of SplashID for Palm.  HooRay!!  Now up to 4.11, SplashID has come along way, and oddly enough, they've done it without changing much.

There are plenty of additions and improvements in 4.11, but really, none is more of an improvement than the "tree View" on both the mobile and Desktop versions.  This makes navigation a breeze, and in fact, I never really notice before how annoying the straight "list view" was on the older version.  That's the way it was and I just dealt with it.  Having a category list so that I can click on the specific area that I want to retrieve information from is fantastic.  It's quick, easy and a smarter way to deal with tons of information.

The Desktop version gives you a few good options that are one-click away, such as "emailing and exporting."
