Arrested Development was one of those shows too smart for network television. Insanely great writing and acting by all involved. But there was no laugh track telling Fox viewers when to laugh so the highly respected critically acclaimed show lost its spot. It should have been on HBO or Showtime anyway.
Chatter of a movie has been floating around for a few months now, with a few of the shows actors dropping hints here and there. The latest being Jeffery Tambor:
“After months of speculation, I think we have finally figured out for sure that we are indeed doing an Arrested Development movie, I am very excited about that. I love that cast and crew and I felt like we had more to say."
There is no word from any studio as of yet, but if the former "Larry Sanders" co-host says it's going to happen, then it's going to happen. Maybe there will actually be something to see other than comic book hero's and extremely unfunny comedies.
