$200 million, that’s the word floating around the internet heavens, Google is writing a cashiers check for $200 million to buy the immensely popular news site Digg.com.  This would be huge if rumors of an imminent announcement are true.  Google News, which has gained a good deal of respect as a source for “Happening Now”, could be adversely affected by some of the wild content posted to Digg, but Digg is also a great resource for stories that are often buried on “reputable” news sites.  The move would also make the two even stronger than they are today.  Which is actually hard to imagine.
