Windows Vista has been a nightmare for the folks at Microsoft, it's got a bad wrap and most would rather use Windows XP. Recently, Microsoft went into pocket to the tune of $900 million for advertisement they hope will convince users that hey, Vista's not so bad, once you get used to it. Will it work? Who knows, my guess is no. With word out that Windows 7 is being diligently worked on for a 2010 release, the informed are probably going to wait it out.But what if you have Vista now and are uneasy about downgrading to XP? There have been plenty of how to guides published, but if you're queazy about that sort of thing then you'll most likely just drop it.
So you drop it, but all that Vista functionality is causing you consternation, sleepless nights and resentment from your IT guy/gal. You did okay when you tinkered around with 98, and you only had to reload XP twice after you turned off a few features the wrong way, but you made it through that, surely you can make through shutting down a few things on Vista to stop the freezing and re-booting, and with all the "How-to's" posted on the web, you've got a lot of help. To bad you keep screwing it up.
Vista has a ton of ridiculous actions going on in the background while your just trying to type an email to your mother. Mostly it's just checking to see if everything you have on your computer is legal and you paid your money to Microsoft. This is the cause of a high percentage of your Vista problem.
Microsoft has come to the rescue, but not with ads, with something that is actually useful to you, a how to guide, Vista Performance and Tuning Guide.
If you're stuck with Vista and you want to make it easier to manage, get the technical know how from the horses mouth. the download will give you step by step instructions on how to fine tune your system. Now if something goes wrong you can blame Microsoft and not some Blogger who's just trying to help, but talking over your head.
