This subject has gotten a bit touch much play for my taste.  The health of Steve Jobs, a man working in the private sector is of course ripe for conversation given the nature of who he is.  But the continual public speculation on the expectancy of someone's life is a little morbid to me. However...

After much debate, analyst worrying, in-turn worrying investors creating a steep late day trading drop, statements like this in a Apple conference call, didn't help matters:

“Steve loves Apple,” replied Peter Oppenheimer, the company’s chief financial officer. “He serves as the C.E.O. at the pleasure of Apple’s board and has no plans to leave Apple. Steve’s health is a private matter.”

This of course spurred on more articles and post, more speculation as to what Apple will do when Steve Jobs dies, which he will do one day.  All of which a silly, indulgent and heavy on facts about cancer and Apple.  I'm looking for that article that seeks to propose "This is what Apple should/will Do,"  because Jobs is just like all of us, he could go at any time for any reason.  If those with the money aren't willing to stick with what made them the money in the first place, then there's a lot more to fear the fear itself.

I did however find a pretty good article in the NY Times by JOE NOCERA, who got a call from the man himself, telling him the conditions of his health.  If you're that concerned, hit the Times link and have a read.
