Yes, it would seem so. It looks as though the newest and some say hottest of new Blackberry devices is experiencing some of the same 3G problems currently tainting the very soul of the iPhone 3G.
Citigroup analyst Jim Suva says that there is a delay in the Bold hitting the U.S., on AT&T because it is dropping to EDGE and dropping calls while maintaining full bars in a 3G rich environment. AT&T is pointing fingers at RIM saying they need to fix it because it is a hardware issue and not theirs.
But funny how we only hear about this 3G issues from folks on AT&T? I don't know, but it may come down to another serious push back date if someone doesn't get on the ball and fix the problem.
