People, I'm begging you, if you're a Comcast user, call them today and cancel, go to any other provider until you can work it out to your benefit. You won't hear me do or say something like that too often, that kind of plea, but we cannot allow another corporation to suddenly decide to bend us over and say it's our fault for dressing sexy.
Comcast has decided it's time to go ahead and implement that data cap that some of the broadband companies have been kicking around. This means that if you go over the Comcast allotment of 250GB, you will be harassed with phone calls, continue to go over and you could be kicked off.
If a customer exceeds more than 250 GB and is one of the heaviest data users who consume the most data on our high-speed Internet service, he or she may receive a call from Comcast's Customer Security Assurance (CSA) group to notify them of excessive use.
If Comcast isn't made to suffer financially from the people who give the company it's power, "US" all the rest of them will follow suit, and soon.
These companies and and we consumers have been getting along just fine without caps for years, there is no need but GREED to do this now. The plan is to start charging more for that same broadband space you use now. Want more gigs over 250? That will cost you $10 extra, and so on. This means anyone running a website, watching online movies and playing online games will get screwed each and every month, and these days, there are more and more internet users doing those things.
We can't just throw our hands up and say "yes big corporation, whatever you say". Cancel your account, hurt them the way they're trying to hurt us. Make Comcast and the rest of the Broadband providers out there see that "We're mad as hell, and we're not going to take it any longer!"
