Forget beef eat kangaroo burgers instead, it could significantly help reduce greenhouse gas emissions, says an Australian scientist.

Methane gas produced by sheep and cows through belching and flatulence is more potent than carbon dioxide in the damage it can cause to the environment and account for 11% of Australia's carbon footprint a study found.  Just think how much the US's carbon footprint is.

Kangaroos on the other hand have a different digestive system and produce virtually no methane.

Dr George Wilson, of the Australian Wildlife Services, urges farming them.  The country already produces 30 million farmed kangaroos.  Hmmmm just thinking of them hopping around makes me hungry!

I vote yes! I have had the pleasure of eating Kangaroo and it was yummy! I'd eat it any day over beef if it wasn't so difficult to find.

And, as i can smell the cows miles down the road in my back garden.....  i'd vote for a cleaner animal any day!

And just think you can save the plant whilst you eat a really nice steak!
