Web developers will now have a way to keep track of visitors to websites that take advantage of the new software.  Example: if while on your Windows Mobile phone (software is only available for WinMob at this time) you surf to morninpaper, the cell tower GPS information will relay your location to the webmaster…Me.

Sound scary?  Will it is and isn’t.  It’s the way of the future so here you are, and for webmasters, it could be another tool to track spam and many other anti social goings on out there.

Google is working to make the software available to other platforms.
