Bloody is the operative word for this zombie movie spoof! In director Andrew Curries’s Fido (2006) set in 1950’s suburbia we find a world where Zombies have been tamed. This is in no way a horror movie, more a comedy with a good cast and an lighthearted plot.
11 year old Timmy Robinson's (K’Sun Ray) best friend in the whole world is his pet Fido (Billy Connolly), but Fido is no dog, he’s a zombie. Unfortunately, when Fido’s subduing shock collar technology fails and he eats the next-door neighbor, Timmy has to scramble to hide the evidence so that he can keep his friend…..
Remember, keep your zombie on a leash at all times!
If you liked Shaun of the Dead (2004), I’m pretty sure you’ll enjoy this one.
Rated R for zombie violence.
