Toysoft has been one of my favorite developers for Palm because not only does the company pay a great deal of attention to details so not only do the apps run well on your Palm, but they also look geat.

Some of you may be aware that I have switched to the Blackberry 8830 full time, and even though my Treo 755p is still in use, I have to admit that I miss a few Palm apps. Yes, if you haven't gussed already, Toysoft apps are among them.

However, much to my surprise Toysoft is now in the Blackberry game! This made your humble author very happy, so naturally I quickly traveled to the toysoft website to have a look. There are a few titles available currently, but Danny has informed me that he is working to port as many of his Palm apps to Blackberry as possible.

One of the great apps that has been ported so far is PictureDial 1.0, a picture dialer for the Blackberry home screen.

PictureDial 1.0 intergrates your BB address Book and allows you to use the photos you've snapped and or have on your SDCard.

PictureDial 1.0 automatically sets up contacts you choose from your address book on your BB, then ask you if you want to add a photo. Simply choose from the pics on your BB and the photo is now associated with the contact. It will also be associated with your incoming call.

Setup is easy and simple, and there are a few nice options, such as the ability to choose any contact or your entire address book (if you have hundreds of contacts its recommended that you NOT use the all of them).

List Of Features:

Supports Small and Large picture ids
Supports PNG, GIF and JPG pictures
Supports Internal and SD card memory
Supports Contact lookup when creating new Picture Dials
Import Contacts
Send SMS and Email
Browse contact website
Edit and crop picture
Custom color for contact labelling
Very easy to use

PictureDial supports:

BlackBerry® OS 4.2 and Higher

There is a free trial and the application cost a measly $5.95.

I recommend giving this a try if you're into photos.
