A punch to the gut of G1 owners and Android waiting room citizens.  It seems that Java is the babe in the woods for the OS and Firefox mobile, which means there will be no Firefox surfing on any upcoming Android handsets nor the one and only current one.  

Mozilla wants Google to accept programs not written in Java and Google says we own the web that your browser surfs on.  Someone will have to bend but in the meantime Android consumers will suffer the battle.
