Don’t act too surprised, you knew they had to beef this thing up somehow, and after Peek asked folks to tell them how they could make it better, it was just a matter of time before something had to break.  

Now through a service upgrade, users can send unlimited text on the device that was built and billed as a “E-MAIL ONLY” device.  And the new doesn’t stop there.

Now users can view images sent to the device via email.  JPG, .GIF, .PNG and .BMP can be viewed through the “View Image” option.  Even though the price has dropped to $79 from $99, I’m still not convinced that this is a viable reason to spend another $20 a month to carry around a phone and a email device. 

Still, these are nice additions.
