Yesterday I talked about Blockbuster being the Microsoft of the video rental industry, and 24 hours later we get an announcement of a Blockbuster Microsoft teaming. Is that the definition of irony?
The two companies are teaming up to bring mobile video service to customers through Microsoft's "Live Mesh". This will bring Blockbuster movies to folks using anything Windows, but it looks like you'll have to be in an Airport terminal to use it. It will made available first in Kiosk at Airports where users can grab a quick movie download to watch while on the plane or waiting for a delayed flight.
My questions is. Is this really necessary?
