Unlocking has been a part of the iPhone world since a week or two before it was even launched, and Dev teams were ready to go with Android before Google had their day in the handset sun.  But until now, the ideal of unlocking a Blackberry was a big yawner even on paper.  

The Blackberry Bold and Blackberry Storm changed that however, and now there is unlocking Software out there for the 8000 or 9000-series.

If you've been dying to take your BB and split this could be your ticket.  Unlocking is shady though, not to mention not-so-legal, so use at your own potential device peril. 

If you're brave and strong, do yourself a favor and read the instructions very, very carefully.

    Hi guys,

    just to let you know, unlocking in USA and Canada is no longer illegal, it is 100% LEGAL , but if you don’t unlock the phone with an unlock code, your phone company will void the warranty.

    1) If you use a HARD UNLOCKING service that requires a TESTPOINT or other method of unlocking your phone via a CABLE – this will void you warranty.

    2) Remote Unlock with the proper SUBSIDY CODE from a 3rd party unlock code company or your Network provider will NOT void your warranty. If your network provider won’t give you the code, then you can purchase it from an AUTHORIZED reseller, ie
