Here’s a bit of “whaaaat?”  Right after another year of “Best in Show” at MacWorld and CES, and the announcement of Slingplayer for the Blackberry and iPhone, the founders ad creators of the device we all love to sling with take a walk, for good.
Blake and Jason Krikorian, respectively CEO and SVP-business development.  Jason Hirschhorn and Ben White, president and chief creative officer of the Sling Media Entertainment Group and  Greg Wilkes, VP-sales are all gone effective immediately.  This comes after the Echostar acquisition valued at $380 million, but within the time frame of the year that the top brass agreed to stay on for after the purchase.
For now it looks as though employees are fine and Sling will go on, but without the folks who brought it to market in the first place.ÂÂ
“I’m out of there now. I want to just cut it … it’s best just to get it done because it’s not easy. It’s like a break up but it’s time to get on. It’s bittersweet, for sure, “it’s a good time to stop and I can’t complain. … [Our] investors are happy and I don’t have to worry, my kids are fine.â€Â
