Do you remember this one, the story of Alfie Patten, the 13-year old boy who fathered a child in Britain?  Outrageous we said!  Criminal we said!  A sad, sad day for playgrounds around the world we said!  Not true the DNA said.
Yep, after all the outrage and 3 page stories, turns out Alfie Patten isn’t the father of the child after all.
Before he took the test, he said: “I didn’t know about DNA tests before but mum explained it’s when they do a swab in your mouth and it tells if you’re the dad. So if I have it, they can all shut up.â€Â
His mum Nicole, 43, added at the time: “It had not even crossed Alfie’s mind whether Chantelle had not been faithful to him. He’s absolutely devastated that these lads say they slept with her.â€Â
The “Lads” are 15 other boys who claim they had sex with the mother, 15-year old Chantelle Stedman.  And I always thought British schools were better than this.  The kids who live in Eastbourne (a retirement community by the way) are now locked in a battle of cheating hearts now that DNA testing has confirmed that the now 7 week -old baby girl was not fathered by Alfie.
I know this is all pretty insane and ludicrous, but I kind of feel for these kids.  Every single bit of it is way too much for children to be dealing with, wether by their own design or not.
