There is no shortage of Twitter apps for your smartphone, and the apps are beginning to pile up for the Blackberry OS.  But that just means there are more choices out there for users to find the perfect solution for them.  Enter “Ubertwitter.”  This one looks really promising, and if you’re game you could have a hand in shaping it.  The developers of Ubertwitter are looking for beta testers to try it and provide them with feedback.

I d/l this application two days ago and from then on, every website i visited my blackberry prompted me to entered a password b/c it did not trust any website. It would not allow me to even access my gmail account from the icon that was pre programmed into my blackberry. Bad news is I couldn’t remember my password because I never ever use it so after so many attempts, you blackberry auto erases everything for security reasons I suppose. Called Verizon and they weren’t able to do anything about it =( Before I d/l this application, my phone never prompted me to enter passwords for any website…death to ubertwitter!
no big password issues here on my Storm. Program is well on it’s way to being useful for active power users (I have 28,000 followers). Very Desperately needs the search function, some of us have conversations based on #hashtags found through searches. Can’t change font size or style and I really can’t read the text, the size function is there but it does not save.
I have tried most and Ubertwitter ranks as my favorite so far. Let me know when you have a new version of the Beta, I will be happy to continue using Ubertwitter and reporting on Twitter to all my followers. By the way, you need a twitter account.
Just installed Ubbertwitter on my BlackBerry Storm; so far so good. Is there an option to control when I want to send my location? Or is it either on/off all the time?
Sorry Jeff, you’ll need to direct that question to the Ubertwitter folks. Here’s their contact URL: http://www.ubertwitter.com/contact, hope you get some answers
