iTunes 8.2 Does Not, Repeat Does Stop Palm Pre iTunes Syncing

There was a nasty little rumor going around the weekend that Apples recent update to iTunes, iTunes 8.2 had a little decoder ring in there to cut off access to the Palm Pre. Well, it doesn’t. The Palm Pre can still hook up to iTunes and do all those things you need it to do.

The whole Palm Pre/iTunes thingy is pretty silly really. Why should Apple care if the Pre is a stand in for the iPhone in your copy of iTunes? The chance are overwhelmingly high that if you’re hooking your device up to iTunes for syncing, you just bought something from the store. Shoots, scores!
