Looks like Engadget scored the answer to the head scratcher that started two months back. When the HTC Hero was announced and shown off, it included a demonstration of Exchange ActiveSync, and this pleased many. But then we learned that the then HTC Magic on U.S. T-Mobile would not be including Exchange because it was to be a Google branded phone, and by terms of use as stated when the confusion began, Google branded devices could and would not include Exchange.
Then came a silent inclusion of Exchange on the Google branded myTouch 3G to be sold on T-Mobile. Huh? What gives?
Now Google is saying that they threw their hands in the air cause they just don’t care! If a carrier wants to include Exchange on a Google branded device, it’s their prerogative. Can you say, “About Face!?”
Not that anyone should be complaining, this is a good thing!
