This Sunday, the Blackberry Tour will go on sale for $199.99, but according to Sprint, come next year you’ll be able to get with WiFi included. Not only the Blackberry Tour, but all other models will from that point on include the major feature that has been missing from Sprint’s CDMA devices.

“Sprint is embracing WiFi in all its major devices going forward,” said Jeff Clemow, the carrier’s director of business product marketing.

Verizon suffered from the same omission of devices with WiFi, but has also joined the rest of the world to include it on all of their upcoming models. GSM has long been a friend to Wifi, and Sprint has suffered huge subscriber loss in part because of devices that lack basics like WiFi. But the yellow and black is now looking toward the future with a few bold moves, more handsets and Wifi.

This should make a few Sprint subscribers happy.
