[Video] Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, Played On 1,000 Cellphones: The Future Is Here

Genius, or a grandiose waste of time? 1,000 cellphones, 52 ringtones, 2,000 sent text messages, straps, lights, cameras and crews, all put together to produce this clip. Vodafone went through a lot to reproduce Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture. Are they trying to tell us that this is the future of music, or show off how much time and money they have to waste? Whatever the case, they got the job done. I don’t think classical musician have anything to worry about though…..Yet.
