He managed to do it once again.  Michael Jackson shot to the number one position of another medium, movies.  The documentary of the preparation for his final tour took the number 1 slot at theaters this weekend.  This Is It took a 5 day total of $32M for the gloved one.   Paranormal Activity (#2) and Saw VI (#5) rode the Halloween weekend freight train, taken in $16M and $5M perspectively.

for some strange reason, Couples Retreat saw a resurgence of interest and landed the #4 spot with a $6M take.   Meanwhile the Spartan/Ray stars earned $7M with their latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen (#3).

Overall this was a lackluster week for film openings and movie attendance.
