Hearts of NASA scientist are all a flutter at their newest discovery, there’s water on that there moon! NASA’s moon fact finding mission “L-CROSS” (NASA’s Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite) discovered what they are saying is significant amounts of water on the South Pole of the moon, and possibly underneath the surface. NASA believes that the water may have been left behind by comets or solar winds.
Why didn’t any of the astronauts discover the ice (water) while they were there? Or better still, why did they not detect any water from all of the samples they brought back…hint hint.
Just weeks after NASA’s L-CROSS mission analyzed a plume of debris generated by the impact of a satellite into a crater on the moon’s south pole, NASA scientists will announce that the findings suggest the presence of frozen water at the site of impact.
