John Cusack is high on my top ten favorite actors list.  His list of classic movies is a mile long and starts and ends with “Gross Point Blank.”  It’s too bad that it took a blow up the world CGI Hollywood flick to net him his biggest opening weekend gross of his career.   But good for him.  2012 left all others in it’s dust, raking in $65M on it’s opening weekend.

Michael Jackson’s last performance remained in the top five by bringing in another $5M to total up at $67M to date.   Jim Carrey’s new Jim Carrey film where he plays Jim Carrey dressed as Ebenezer Scrooge dropped to 2nd place but still took in a healthy $22M well before the Christmas Holiday, and even Thanksgiving for that matter.

“The Men Who Stare At Goats” came in a respectable 3rd, which is pretty darn good since no one seemed to know what this flick was about.  But is stars George Clooney, and George Clooney usually makes films worth watching, not Hollywood CGI crap.   Yes, I have a bad taste in my mouth for Hollywood crap,  I just watched G.I. Joe and I am still astounded that any company allowed that piece of garbage to be play on any screen anywhere in or outside the USA.
