Android Leak: Android 2.1 For The HTC Hero Leaked!

Oh Snap! We Weren’t completely sure that this was 100% true or not, but a few days ago when Android 2.1 showed up on what appeared to be a HTC Hero, smiles began to surface! Now it looks like it’s a real, a go and ready for anyone who wants to give it a try.

Thanks to XDA-Developers, there is a build of Android 2.1 for all to download and run on their HTC Hero. It’s a fairly straightforward process, but does require a little bit of work to getting running properly, so follow the instructions to the letter.
