When it comes to Microsoft and mobile handsets, there is only one phrase. Windows Mobile 7. The long over due OS has been talked about ad-nauseam, much like the Apple tablet. It looks like this will be the year that both annoying stories will be put to rest and consumers can get on with consuming said annoyances.

Word came last week that LG would be releasing a LG Windows Mobile 7 device sometime in September so it only stands to reason that the OS itself would see the light of day within the same calendar year. Now CNet is proclaiming exactly that. Pink Phone and the entire lot of Microsoft’s mobile offering should be outlined when the company touches down in Barcelona February 15th.

In the meantime, keep matriculating those rumors down the field boys!
