Alice in Wonderland is still the champ! For 3 weeks in a row the Tim Burton film starring Johnny Depp has been the reigning champion. The film has now grossed $266M domestically by squarely beating it’s competition. $34.5M was it’s third week haul, with Diary of a Wimpy Kid, a Disney film no one even knew was out, was it’s closest competitor with a $21.8M take. Repo Men, the latest remake to ruin a classic, came in at #4 with a paltry $6.15. I must say, audiences have made me proud with this one. I’m really sick of the greats getting destroyed by crappy remakes.
Have a look at the top 5 for this week.
