I guess we should have seen this coming after the former Libyan leader broke the Ramadan fast to have dinner with the visiting former U.S. Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice.

Sure, the leader of the African nation was chopping at the bit to be back on good terms with the United States, but as his now emptied compound is seized and searched by Libyan rebels, the truth is stranger than fiction. As it turns out, Gadhafi had a thing for Rice.

President Obama came out this morning and gave a Press Conference where he spoke about the need for bi-partizan deals to help Americans get back to work. The President also spoke about the need to take care of the Debt Ceiling, Medicare and raising taxes on the wealthiest 1% of the country, oil and hedge fund companies.

For some reason, Republican candidates love Rock & Roll, and love to use great songs on their campaigns. Unfortunately the writers of those great songs tend to not like having their songs used in Political campaigns.

For the second time since 2000, Tom Petty has found himself singing for the aspirations of a Republican candidate hoping to become the President of the United States. The first time around it was “Won’t Back Down” for the then candidate George W. Bush, this time around its “American Girl” for Michele Bachmann. On both occasions Tom Petty had to fire off a cease-and-desist letter, demanding the end of the use of his music.

Oddly, Ted Nugent tunes never seem to make the cut for campaigning Republican hopefuls, but they love to pull him when trying to show how ‘hip’ they are.

Through the course of her run to be the president of the United States, one trigger finger away from Nuclear bombs and chief negotiator on our behalf to leaders around the world, Michele Bachmann will demonstrate what many of us have already known for a few years now.

In one of her larger misstatements, Bachmann told an audience that the founding fathers worked tirelessly to end slavery…. Of course, they did not.

This morning, George Stephnanopoulos tired to help her walk that statement back, she didn’t. In fact, she made it worse.

Stephanopoulos: But that’s not what you said. You said that the Founding Fathers worked tirelessly to end slavery.

Bachmann: Well if you look at one of our Founding Fathers, John Quincy Adams, that’s absolutely true. He was a very young boy when he was with his father serving essentially as his father’s secretary. He tirelessly worked throughout his life to make sure that we did in fact one day eradicate slavery…

Stephanopoulos: He wasn’t one of the Founding Fathers – he was a president, he was a Secretary of State, he was a member of Congress, you’re right he did work to end slavery decades later. But so you are standing by this comment that the Founding Fathers worked tirelessly to end slavery?

Like her GOP partner in crime politics, Michele Bachman, the Congresswoman from Minnesota who believes the founding fathers worked tirelessly to abolish slavery, was given the Newt Gingrich treatment by an activist working tirelessly to abolish homophobia.

I’m not sure this is a very effective way to get ones point across, but it sure makes for interesting YouTube clips.

Anthony Weiner, the Congressman from New York with an over active smartphone camera, is finally helping us all end this ridiculous everyday discussion. The crotch shot taking Congressman has revealed to close friends that he will in fact – be resigning his position as the tough no nonsense Democrat.

Weiner had said that he would make a decision when his pregnant wife returned home from a trip abroad, helping Hilary Clinton secure world peace. Apparently his wife is back and she wants his resignation, because sources say that Minority leader Nancy Pelosi has already been notified by Weiner of his intentions.

Now, after today, hopefully those in the 24 hour talking head news rooms can find something else to talk about.

If you watch the Republican debate or saw clips of the debate, what you saw was an instant reply of every debate for the last 30 years. The names have changed, but the sentiment, slogans and promises have not. Luckily the Daily Show came along to help us live through the nightmare that is ‘Election season.’

What the hell is it with grown men tweeting sexed-up pictures of themselves to people they do not even know? after lying about it for a week, Rep. Anthony Weiner fessed up and admitted that he did in fact tweet the now infamous photo of his junk to a young woman who was following him on his twitter account.

When Stephen’s robot, Pandertron 8000 walked onto the set to help Stephen understand Newt Gingrich logic, the first thing out of its mouth was “Pandertron loves Stephen, make him feel good.” To which Stephen was forced to hastily reply “Not now Pandertron, not now.”

Stephen found himself needing help in understanding how he and by extension ‘we’ should not believe any accurate quotes of Newt’s ‘Meet The Press’ gaffe this past Sunday. The Palinesque defense offered up by Gingrich, or as Jon Stewart coined him, “Newt Blingrich” after Newt’s $500,000 Tiffany’s debt was discovered, was so confusing that the Pandertron 8000 was needed to compute the statement and help Colbert Colbert (Us) understand it.

It didn’t help.

The whole FoxNews outrage over ‘Common’ being invited to the White House for a poetry, was just that, FoxNews outrage. No one else in the country gave a d@#n outside of the fake and drummed up moral indignation displayed by FoxNews talking heads. However, Jon Stewart thought it necessary to call the station out on their 24/7 relentless campaign over nothing, and when he did, he destroyed them.

This of course got under the skin of outraged Bill O’Reilly, so he challenged Stewart to a debate on the subject, a debate Jon Stewart happily accepted. That debate took place tonight and right about now, O’Reilly is really wishing he hadn’t done so.

But this wont stop FoxNews from letting this liar say whatever the hell he wants to say, whenever he wants to say because he is rich, and rich people are revered.

Ouch! Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) and author of the ‘we’re going to kill medicare and lower taxes even more for the obesely rich’ bill, took his talking points home to Wisconsin this week. The man some have called “brave(?)” held a town hall to point out the merits of his budget proposal that passed in the House last week with all but four Republicans voting for it.

Other than lower the tax rate on the nations wealthiest another 10%, and making the Bush tax cuts permanent, the largest compliant from even 70% of the ‘tea party’ is the ending of Medicare as we know it.

The folks attending Ryan’s town hall let him know how they felt about his plan.

It should come to no surprise that a reporter from ‘Texas’ came to Washington and disrespected the office of the President of the United states. In all of my years of seeing Presidents interviewed, in all of the interviews given with George Bush and Dick Cheney, I never saw a reporter treat the office and the title in such disregard as has been done with this President by reporters who are clearly on the other side of the political spectrum.

However, this time, after the interview, the President didn’t let the rudeness go seemingly unnoticed, and the reporter included the behind the scenes action in a smug attempt to make Obama look bad.

I have no problem with journalist questioning authority and challenging our leaders. However, an adult and supposed intelligent journalist should know how to ask tough questions without disrespecting the highest office in the world.

NBC’s Savannah Guthrie sat down with Donald Trump and asked the wannabe Presidential candidate a few questions. Since it’s NBC, the questions were basic softball questions that allowed Trump to be Trump and answer the way he sees fit. That is until Guthrie got to the question on abortion. Savannah asked if there is a “right to privacy in the constitution” to which Donald answered, yes. Then she asked if about Roe V. Wade. I am condensing what actually happened, but you can see and hear the entire exchange in the clip.

I am still waiting for the moment that the main stream media begins to play the clips of Donald’s appearances on Howard Stern where he is staunchly ‘pro-choice’ and believes that it is a woman’s right to do what she wants with ‘HER’ body. And how about all the interviews where Trump stated the George Bush was the ‘worst president’ ever. Or how about when Trump talked up President Obama, and felt he would be a great leader and wanted him to win the election?

So far the media has allowed Trump to control the show, and this, more than anything he could ever say, is what’s actually shocking.

On April 20th, President Obama will hold a townhall meeting to discuss the budget and the crisis we face. Mark Zuckerberg and his COO Sheryl Sandberg will sit with the President while the entire event is streamed live. Facebook fans tuning in to the event will be able to ask question live on the Facebook page.

You may have heard that there has been a tiff brewing between some of the on-air MSNBC personalities and Jon Stewart. It’s not a big tiff, just a little hurt feelings due to something Stewart said during his ‘Rally To Restore Sanity.’ Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow took offense to Jon’s assertion that cable news with all it’s know-it-all blah, blah, blah is a part of the problem in this country right now. Yeah, they didn’t like that too much. In Keith and Rachel’s eyes, the statement put them on the same playing field as FoxNews.

Rachel, being who she is, went a step further than the simple rebuttal, she sat down with Jon to talk things through and in so doing, gave us some incredibly entertaining television. Watch.

Ha! No it’s not a big deal, in fact I fully admit that this is a silly post, but I just couldn’t let it go by. Chuck Todd, MSNBC’s Chief Political analyst, got all fancy during Tuesday nights election coverage. Chuck had the big board ala CNN, which was touchscreen and controlled by a tablet computer. From a distance it looked to me that it was an iPad. But wait, MSNBC is half owned by Microsoft, and Microsoft uses the 24 hour news channel to push their goods every chance they get — and they get a lot of chances. So It can’t be an iPad right? Apple and Microsoft are mortal enemies.

But then the above shot happened. Notice how MSNBC stickers are covering it to pull your eyes away from the fact that this great technology you are watching, is being brought to you via an iPad. Ouch.

I’m going to keep this short and sweet. The Elections are over and so is the mad dash to turn the television away from another annoying as hell campaign ad. For the Republicans, that massive wave everyone was predicting didn’t really make it to shore, however, they did manage to take the House back. At this point it’s 180 Democrats and 234 Republicans in the House with a few states still counting at the time of this post. However, the Senate remains in the control of the Democrats, in large part due to a surprise victory by Harry Reid over Sharon Angle in Nevada, Angle being a candidate that had no business on a ticket for the U.S Senate. In fact, as of the time of this post, she has still yet to speak to her supporters and concede a loss that is very clearly a loss. That should come as no surprise to anyone following this race, Angle would not speak to anyone who didn’t have a huge FoxNews sign behind them. That being said, Reid was hugely unpopular in his state and the tide was moving away from him, but the Senate Leader held on and by doing so, held on to the Senate for the Dems.

Also, there will be no witches in the Senate. As expected, Christine O’Donnell lost her bid in Delaware, handedly.

In California, Meg Whitman took $140M out of her personal bank account and lost an election to a guy that had already been a California governor, twice.

The short of it is this. Now the country has a balance of power, and if elected officials truly mean to work towards a better Union, the two houses and the White House will have to all work together for the people of this country, not just one party. In the words of Colin Powell, “You break it, You own It.”

Maybe you heard, the President made an appearance on The Daily Show Wednesday night. But don’t think that because it was The Daily Show and Jon Stewart, that President Obama got off easy. Nope, this isn’t Hannity’s show, Jon asked the President some pretty tough questions even though Jon Stewart is obviously a fan. President Obama had to go on the defense a few times, but stood his ground and stood up for the policies he has enacted since walking into the White House.

If You didn’t see it live, sit back and watch a fairly informative and fun interview with the commander and chief.

Yeah, America. I remember hearing that Glenn Beck said something about Liberals being violent. In todays clip you’ll see the Tea Party supported Rand Paul being saved by his supporter from a young lady carrying a sign of protest. Lucky there were enough male tea party members there to keep her from using her right to free speech, a right she tried to exorcise. Silly her, apparently protesting a tea party candidate will get you thrown on the ground and your head stomped on by any man with a free hand and a idle foot.

But hey, Lauren Valle deserved it, she’s a volunteer at MoveOn.com, and any good conservative will tell you, those people, even though they’re Americans too, should be caught and strung up from a tree, because they disagree. And as demonstrated in the clip below, if you show up to a place that has freedom loving tea party activist — wearing a blond wig while trying to hand a candidate they support something they don’t like, this is what you’ll get. A good old fashion beat down from good old fashion folks who are just concerned with the recent deficit causing government spending

This is absolutely disgusting.

Yes, I’m going to say it, this woman is an idiot, and it’s hard to believe that at this point — half of Nevada voters are still willing to pull the lever to have her represent them in the Senate. I have been doing my best to stay away from political headlines because so much of what has been spewing out of the mouths of ‘politicians’ this election cycle, is extremely enraging. This little nugget is too good to pass up on however.

Speaking to a group of Hispanic students, Sharon Angle stood up at a podium and told them that “some of you look a little more Asian.” They didn’t like that very much.

The Republican party has launched an epic bid to be the long time holders of the ‘Champs of Filibuster’ title. They took another step to ensure the title by blocking a vote that would have allowed $7.4 billion in Health Care for 9/11 responders who have been sickened by the toxins released at ground zero. The bill would have gone a long way to treat those who put their lives risk to save those caught in the tragedy of that day. But for the Republican party, it’s more important for the American people to feel as though nothing good is happening in Congress, which they believe will help them gain power back in the November elections, than it is to help those in need when they need it.

Like the ‘Unemployment Benefits extension” bill, (which is your money, money taken out of your paycheck) the Republican party voted no the bill on the grounds that a procedure by Democrats, suspended the rules before consideration of the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act could take place. The move stopped any chance of unnecessary attachments or amendments for partisan politics.

However you slice it, these people need help and our Government should be willing and able to help at any cost. This is what Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y) angrily and passionately express on the floor of the House.

Sure, we’ve all heard the rumors of Walt himself being a Nazi sympathizer, some even say that evidence can be found in early Disney artwork and cartoons, but I think it’s safe to say that none could be found quite like this. An Italian artist has created a photo of the head of Mickey Mouse on the body of a hottie pin-up girl laying in front of a Swastika. The poster is hanging on a building in Poland where there aren’t many pleased with the image.

Poland suffered greatly at the hands of Hitler’s army, references to the Nazi army and Nazism are unwelcome in the country. But the artist describes the artwork has the “”horrors” of the American lifestyle”. Polish Prosecutors agree, saying that the artwork does not glorify Nazism so it does not violate the strict laws against Nazi propaganda.

That has not stopped the poster from being vandalized and torn down a few times, nor has it cooled sentiment over the displaying of it from Polish citizens.

The piece is a part of a collection from a art exhibition that is to open this Fall.

The Rolling Stone article from an embedded reporter has been the downfall of the top Military man in Afghanistan. General McChrystal’s disparaging words about the Obama administration has forced the President to act, and by act I mean relieve McChrystal of his command.

Gen. David Petraeus, the man who passed out while listening to Senator John McCain drone on at a recent Armed Services Committee meeting, will be the new top cop in the Afghan theater.

Gen. Stanley McChrystal was summoned to the White House after excerpts from a Rolling Stone article leaked out, excerpts that showed clear disdain for the current White House.

President Obama says that he has excepted the resignation from McChrystal, but inside sources say he never had a chance and that the president removed him.

General David Petraeus will now lead both wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Gen. David Petraeus fainted for unknown reasons this morning at the Senate Armed Services Committee hearings. The General passed out, but woke and stood on his own before being helped out of the room. The General was listening to John McCain drone on and on about the same things McCain drones on and on about. No word on if that was the reason Petraeus lost a few moments of consciousness.

I normally don’t get too much into the personal lives of married couples, and I certainly don’t believe this story deserves the term ‘Breaking News’ as I have seen it referred to today. However, it is sad to see a couple end a love affair that has lasted 40 years. The couple say they are separating, there has been no word of ‘Divorce.’

The Gore’s have been one of the “it” couples of Washington politics. Tipper Gore, a musician, photographer and all around “fun lady.” Al Gore, stiff, dull, the guy who wouldn’t fight for the Presidency and the guy fighting for the planet. All this has kept this couple in the news and in many American conversations.

The immigration debate in a (oddly, adorable) way for the First Lady of the United States. While visiting a school in Silver Spring, Md., with Mexico’s First Lady Margarita Zavala, a second grader raised her hand and asked Michelle Obama.

“My mom … she says that Barack Obama is taking everybody away that doesn’t have papers.” The American First Lady told the young girl “Yeah, well that’s something that we have to work on, right? To which the girl replied, “But my mom doesn’t have any …”

Two things pop about in this story. Somehow Arizona’s law designed and implemented by Arizona officials, has somehow been attributed to Obama to this little girl. Then there’s the whole media concern. Now that this is out there, this young girls mother and her legal status will be sought out, and could very well up heave this family’s life.

This adorable little girl is clearly concerned, the worry is visible all over her face.

While in the White House, Karl Rove had a lot of fun doing whatever the hell he wanted to do. After his Bush White House tenor, Rove was given and microphone and a camera to say whatever the hell he wanted to say on FauxNews, AKA: FoxNews. But during his book tour, Rove is finding out that book stores cannot insulate him from people who dare to criticize him and want him to answer for his Bush doctrine architecture he built as Bush’s brain. A doctrine that took us to war with a country that did nothing to us.

This time members of Code Pink attempted to make a citizens arrest of the Bush doctrine author in a book store in Sacramento, California. Of course the attempt failed, but it’s interesting to me that this is not being widely covered. If it were the Tea Party harassing some Democrat, the so-called “Liberal Media” would be showing the footage every hour on the hour, saying that they are Americans trying to “take their country back” because they’re angry at politicians.

HA! The Govenator said he would never do something in California like the law enacted in Arizona two weeks ago. Now Schwarzenegger seems to be punctuating the point by making fun of the Arizona law and his own citizenship.

It’s that time again, journalist, entertainers and politicians get together and make fun each other in honor of greatness is White House journalism. Most years the MC is usually a very funny comedian who makes everyone laugh while creating a bit of uneasiness in the room. Then the President gets up and says a full stale jokes that everyone laughs at in Presidential respect. But this time everything is all turned around. This time Obama was funny as hell, and the MC, Jay Leno, bombed. Watch our President rock the comical house.

As I write this post, back to back Geico ads are running on my TV box. But the next set of the very familiar commercials will run without the voice of D.C. Douglas. The voice actor got himself dropped as a result of a voicemail he created.

Douglas asked FreedomWorks in his voicemail what “the percentage of people that are mentally retarded who are working for FreedomWorks and who are following it,” or as he has since put it, he “inquired as to their intelligence level.”

In the voicemail, Douglas also questions how FreedomWorks will “spin it when one of your members does actually kill somebody, wondering if you’ve got a PR spinning routine planned for that or are you just gonna take it when it happens.” –HuffingtonPost

The Geico folks felt the fire when angry Tea Partiers [SIC] called and complained to the company, prompting them to fire Douglas the next day. Douglas says that what he did was “stupid” but is not upset with the company’s decision to drop him.

Ahh FauxNews and it’s unrelenting quest to bring down the President of these United States. The channel that calls itself “Fair and Balanced” and also a “News Channel,” spent air time trying to compare the Nuclear Security Summit logo to the logo of Muslim nations. They can do this because only a complete idiot would go there and give it any credence. And for whatever reason, self proclaimed ‘Americans’ watch a news organization try with all its might to demean an “American President” during a Nuclear Security Summit designed to rid the world of enriched uranium that’s sitting around for any terrorist to grab hold of. Those same self proclaimed ‘Americans’ then call it “Fair And Balanced” and or a “News Channel.” Wait, I left out “Pro America” too.

Luckily Jon Stewart found some strange similarities of his own:

Dmitry Medvedev, the Russian President, sat down with George Stephanopoulos on Good Morning America to talk about his meetings with President Obama. Stephanopoulos asked the Russian President what he thought of Obama the man. Medvedev said Obama was “a thinker,” which “distinguishes him from many people.” He then when on to compliment the American President, while concluding that he didn’t want to offend anyone with his comment.

It is of course easy to make the leap that Medvedev was speaking of George Bush “the decider.” This is the question blazing around the interwebs. Was he actually referring to George Bush?

Of course he was, let’s all stop acting like maybe he was referring to someone else, he wasn’t. Take a look.

The President of these United States took the mound to throw out the first pitch for the start of the Washington Nationals baseball season. One thing of note, take a listen to the commentating about past President’s, their first pitches and the audience reaction when certain Commander and Chiefs took the mound.

David Letterman sat down with a Tea Party activist and had a very civil conversation with her. The woman, Pam Stout, a very sweet British-American, said that she found Sarah Palin and Jim DeMint to be two very attractive 2012 presidential candidates. Dave asked her why the country never saw nor heard of the Tea Party and or their cause during the 8 years of Bush, the eight years that started the mess we are in now, she really had no answer.

Whoa! You know Palin went too far this time when even Elizabeth Hasselbeck is very upset with her. Hasselbeck actually agreed with the rest of The View cast this morning when the discussion turned to the “Reload” message sent by America loving Sarah Palin. But, this is America, where you get rewarded for saying and doing things like the ad Palin put out targeting Democrats with “Cross hairs.” Do stuff like that, or crash a White House party and you get a TV show and a big weekly paycheck!

Joe Biden did it again! The infamous Biden mouth made news today alongside the history making signing of Health Care Reform. Joe drops the F bomb while embracing the President after introducing him. 7 Presidents and 50 years later, President Barack Obama with the help of of House Democrats, has finally brought about a promise and goal of so many political figures before them. Health Care Reform has passed by a 219-212 margin. The House has just voted down a recommit vote introduced by Republicans, to which not one voted for Health Care Reform. This moves the bill on to senate for more procedural junk, and then to the Presidents desk for his signature.

By the way, look forward to a lot of people working hard to get abortion and the fear of langauge (That’s not actually there) on the tips of everyone tongues for the next few months. You know, like “Death Panels.”

Yeah, if you didn’t know, all those folks who said NOTHING against a war with a country that did nothing to America, nor all of the other absolutely insane things that went on during the Bush administration, are now calling for a revolution because of “Health Care Reform.” Not for torture or illegal wire taps or the repeal of habeas Corpus, lying about WMD’s so on and so on. There should be a revolution because Health Care Reform is an assault on God.

Glenn Beck stepped into it big time, but ironically, given that he apologized to his viewers, Beck met his “Time Wasting” match. Watch and be amazed at what our country’s political climate has become.

Jon Stewart took special aim at Fox News Anchor “Megyn Kelly” for her and her stations claim that she represents the “Fair and Balanced” end of their Newscasting day. As you might expect, Jon was able to show that the claim doesn’t really hold true….At all.
