Fans of both AMC hits show, ‘Mad Men’ and ‘Breaking Bad’ can stop worrying about having to pick one to get behind. The fight for money, money given to Mad Men, put the 5th season of Bryan Cranston’s popular meth creating creator in jeopordy. Luckily for all who enjoy Breaking Bad and ‘The Walking Dead’, AMC has come to an agreement over money and budget with Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner, an agreement that will allow the 5th and final season of Breaking Bad to film next year.

“It’s a funny irony — I’d hate to know the date of my own last day on earth, but I’m delighted to know what Walter White’s will be (episodically speaking). This is a great gift to me and to my wonderful writers. It’s knowledge which will allow us to properly build our story to a satisfying conclusion. Now, if we don’t manage to pull that off, we’ve got no one to blame but ourselves.

FY!, just in case you haven’t heard and need to be alerted, Charlie Sheen has been given another Television show. This time around, the sexed up, Tiger blood drinking, two women in every bed actor, will be playing the small screen “loosely based” adaptation of Jack Nicholson’s role in the Adam Sandler film of the same name, “Anger Management.

“I chose ‘Anger Management’ because, while it might be a big stretch for me to play a guy with serious anger management issues, I think it is a great concept,” Sheen said in a statement. “It also provides me with real ownership in the series, a certain amount of creative control and the chance to be back in business with one of my favorite movie producers of all time, Joe Roth.” MSNBC

A good deal of individuals talked about Arnold Schwarzenegger’s womanizing before and during his California Governor run, but any attempts to prove it were quickly dismissed and or brushed aside. He and Maria Shriver, wife of 25-years, split, and we now know the reason is because he admitted to being the father of a child belonging to a household staff member.

Proving to the world that children of celebrities are just as normal as those of ‘regular folk,’ Charlie Sheen took to the cameras to alert the media and show off his parenting skills. Sheen’s two children, Bob and Max, created by Sheen and Brooke Mueller, have been taught a new word, rehab.

Sheen thought it appropriate to teach his kids the word because:

‘I am teaching them words, because they’re speaking now. I’m teaching them the word “rehab” so they always know where their mom is.

Ha! He’s so witty. However, ex-wife Mueller may be laughing in court after she takes the witty actor to school for bad mouthing her in public, a violation of their divorce settlement.

Poor kids, sure they’ll have fat bank accounts, but they’ll be spending it all on therapist.

Imagine, you’re 17-years old, you live in Australia and Justin Bieber brings his new haircut to town to taunt you with his oh so poppy ways. What do you do? You sneak into the show with a bag of eggs and toss them at the boy who would be king… of pop.

Then imagine being caught days later for doing so. That is what has happened to a 17-year old Aussie who has been caught and charged in a Sydney Children’s Court for breaking into the concert hall through the roof, and throwing eggs at the Bieb.

Those Aussie cops always get their man, 17-year old.

Either some kids who love eating eggs at concerts got very upset with the set list, a few kids really dislike the Bieber’s new haircut, or some disgusted teens have money to spend on front row concert tickets for the sole purpose of throwing things at pop stars they don’t like. One of these has to be the explanation for an egg attack lobbed at Justin Bieber in Sydney, Australia.

Marion Ross, Erin Moran, Don Most, Anson Williams and the estate of favorite TV dad, Tom Bosley, are suing CBS for back revenue they claim is owed to them for merchandizing. If you have been to a casino lately, you have probably seen the ‘Happy Days’ slot machines awaiting your dollar, quarter or dime. But what you may not know is when you put your money in, the aforementioned names and faces don’t see a penny of it.

Under contract, the Happy Days actors are entitled to a percentage of all merchandise pertaining to the 10 year run hit CBS show. The actors claim that they have not seen any money from any of the thousands of products out there with their faces on it, and are now actively suing CBS for what they say amounts to millions of dollars.

The Fonz (Henry Winkler) and Richie (Ron Howard) are not named in the law suit, but both are working, powerful Hollywood players, and have most likely been getting paid for each and everything their faces appear on.

By now I am sure you have already heard the news, if not, get it here first. Nicolas, the undisputed King of Horrible Movies, was arrested in New Orleans over the weekend for domestic abuse. Cage was reportedly drunk and dragged his wife to a home he thought they had rented. His wife told him they were at the wrong house, but he insisted, roughly. A taxi driver called the police on Cage after the actor got ridiculous him with. The police came and told him to go home, but the guy who made ‘Ghost Rider’ and is going to make another one, said no, arrest me. They did.

This is where ‘Dog the Bounty Hunter’ comes. The infamous bail bondsman put up $11,000 to get the actor out of jail. Now, here’s my take. Nicolas Cage has made one horrible movie after the other, his star is fading fast and he knows it. He also knows the ways of the American public, ala Charlie Sheen, Lyndsy Lohan and so on. If he can get some jail time, rehab time and then talk circuit time, he’ll then be cast in a movie about some Italian mobster and get nominated for an Oscar, all will be forgive.

Charlie Sheen vacated Detroit with his Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is Not and Option Show, defeated. The opening night show wasn’t the successful venture he had hoped it would be. The man we’ve all made into a demi-God of derelict, was booed off the stage and left the people of Detroit wanting their money back. So Charlie went to Chicago.

Chicago was the turn of fortune for the disheveled actor. In Chi-town the frown was turned upside down and boo’s turned into cheers and a standing ovation. Attendees say that the turnaround was due to the style change Sheen implemented after the disaster in Detroit. Instead of coming out, standing there and doing a bunch of stupid pet tricks, Charlie had a close friend sit and interview him for the audience. But let’s put this into some perspective. Sheen told the interviewer “I discovered the internet and crack on the same night” and drew cheers from the audience. Cheers… Because that’s the sort of thing we pay money to see and cheer for nowadays.

Not sure why, but for some strange reason folks in Detroit Michigan shelled out their hard earned cash for tickets to see Charlie Sheen’s one man show “Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is Not and Option Show.” Apparently seeing the actor babble on, on talk shows celebrity shows and the news, wasn’t enough, folks in Detroit had to see it for themselves.

Charlie Sheen took to the stage, talked about ‘crack,’ wore, took off and burned a ‘Two and a Half Men’ Shirt and played clips of a movie he directed starring Johnny Depp.

Apparently some that spent their hard earned money began to realize their mistake as the “show” progress. A few boos began to ring out, some got up and left while a few others wanted a refund. These actions by some in the audience garnered this response from Sheen:

“You gave your hard money and you didn’t know what this was even about and I am … here.”

The tour is just beginning and there are 17 more cities go.

But that doesn’t damper the good feeling had from seeing this deserving “movie star” get immortalized in the famous Grauman’s Chinese Theatre cement. Earlier this week Helen Mirren added her hand and footprints to the theaters illustrious walk of fame – cemented group of Hollywood royalty.

Much to my surprise, Mtv’s Jersey Shore is still on the air. I thought for sure Americans would reject the show simply on it’s basis. Instead, America has embraced it and actually made celebrities out of it’s stars. The fact that Snooki is a celebrity, someone who goes onto the David Letterman show and talks to Dave, is absolutely mind blowing.

When the show was being announced I was sure that Italian Americans would be outraged by it. Sure enough they were, but that didn’t stop the show from being a hit. However, now the show is on its way to Italy, and Italians in Italy are not at all pleased.

After going into a childish tizzy on the set of Good Morning America, throwing chairs and breaking a window, the singer showed up to his next gig at BET and apologized… kinda, sorta.

He beat the hell out of a woman. That should be the end of his story, but here he is, releasing another album with the record company not worried about sales due to this recent event. This is because in today’s world, a man can beat the hell out of a woman, not just hit here, which is bad enough, no, beat her like she’s another man in a bar fight. A woman to whom is supposed to be a beloved girlfriend. In today’s society a person with some amount of fame can do that and it’s all okay, because he/she says “sorry”.

Then we all wonder why generations of American youth is so violent. We reward it, that’s why.

The long reigning Queen of Hollywood, Elisabeth Taylor, has passed on this Wednesday morning. The two time Oscar winner, star of ‘Who’s Afraid Of Virginia Woolf?’ Giant, best friend to Michael Jackson and just all around Hollywood legend suffered from congestive heart failure. She had been hospitalized for the condition several times, the last this past February.

After this idiot talked about being positive and being better, he lost his mind after performing one of the two songs he was scheduled to preform. Brown was asked questions by Robin Roberts about life after the very public savage beating he gave to his then girlfriend, Rihanna.

Apparently Brown feels that after delivering a savage beating to a woman, he should then be able to go on with life as though nothing ever happened, because the questioning of the event sent him into a tirade that is sure to finally put the brakes on his career.

Last night, Mel Gibson star of the upcoming smash hit ‘Beaver’, walked in to the El Segundo Jail and turned himself in. The actor was booked on a Battery charge he was found guilty of in last weeks court appearance. Gibson needed to be finger printed and booked for the “misdemeanor’ of assaulting his now ex-girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva.

Gibson also needed to pay ten percent of a $20,000 bail amount on the day of his sentencing, and was fined $570. He escaped jail time by pleading ‘no contest’ and being a filthy rich movie star.

Whoa, the world has shifted and life is no longer as I knew it. This morning I woke to discover that not only did I have to applaud Bon Jovi (and mean it), but that I also completely agree with him.

“Kids today have missed the whole experience of putting the headphones on, turning it up to 10, holding the jacket, closing their eyes and getting lost in an album; and the beauty of taking your allowance money and making a decision based on the jacket, not knowing what the record sounded like, and looking at a couple of still pictures and imagining it.

“God, it was a magical, magical time. I hate to sound like an old man now, but I am, and you mark my words, in a generation from now people are going to say: ‘What happened?’ Steve Jobs is personally responsible for killing the music business.”

There are a few more factors that went into the death of music and the music industry, but the Jersey rocker hit the nail on the head. The experience is gone. In large part, the advent of “Music TV” aka, Videos, was the beginning of the end of the industry. Music is meant to be experienced. The listener is meant to create their own imaginative world to exist alongside the piece of music. Videos killed that experience by providing it. Then there’s the whole not needing to know a single thing about music, or how to play a single instrument yet still being called and considered a “musician”.

But yes, Steve Jobs didn’t help matters. iTunes has made it easier on the unsigned artist to get material out there, but it has also made it more difficult to find good unsigned artist, because anyone with a computer cane make music, and upload it to the internet.

If you tuned into the Oscar’s last night, you may have felt as though you went back in time, to the 1950′s. But not in that fun ‘Huey Lewis and the News’ sort of way, in that there was not a single representative of any other race in the entire event’. The choice of movies, and those behind them to receive honors was not all the appealing either. Sure, Black Swan, The King’s Speech are two great films, but only Black Swan elicits even a spark of the cheering reflex.

I found it striking to see America so completely under represented in last nights gala presentation. Striking and sad the country filled with so many beautiful ethnicities, and not one of the extremely talented representatives of all the different shades and backgrounds, were honored for their achievement in the fine art of storytelling.

Personally, I don’t think there is anyone funnier in show biz right now than Ricky Gervais. The guy is Richard Pryor, young Woody Allen and Don Rickles all wrapped up into one. So to see folks get all in a tizzy over his routine at this past Golden Globes, was in my view, the funniest part of the whole thing. That’s what he does, that’s who he is, and I for one wouldn’t want it any other way.

But after some got butt-hurt by Ricky’s making fun of them, the powers that be in the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, and the Producers of the Golden Globes, decided immediately after the telecast that maybe having him host the show isn’t such a great idea, which for Ricky, was fine by him. But now after all the ratings are in, and the fact that this particular Golden Globes turned out to be the most talked about in recent history, the powers that be want Ricky back to perform his hosting duties.

For his part, Ricky says why, “I don’t think I should. I don’t know what I could do better. I certainly couldn’t get more press for them, that’s for sure.”

So much for being all butt-hurt.

Wow. He has been around far longer than me and most people I know, and to look at the guy it wasn’t hard to believe that he would continue to be around for much longer than any one. Jack Lalanne, the man who did fitness before fitness was cool, has died of complications from pneumonia at the tender age of 96.

Lalanne is survived by his wife of 51-years, Elaine LaLanne. Jack Lalanne was known for his jumping jacks, 100′s of push ups in minutes, and towing a boat from Alcatraz to Fisherman’s Wharf while swimming in handcuffs when he was 60. Jack Lalanne was known world wide for those kind of superman feats, feats at ages that men 40 years his junior could not pull off. But not just that, Jack Lalanne was a character. His whirlwind delivery, big smile and genuine concern for the health of your body was, is and will always be unmatched, and unforgettable.

Travel well Jack, and thank you for being a part of my childhood.

I a little snot-nosed kid, I had a chance to have a elementary crush on Teena Marie. As a young adult I had the chance to play a few tunes with her, both are very memorable and everlasting memories of a musician who touched my life.

Teena Marie passed away in her sleep Sunday, leaving behind a daughter, family, music, a world of fans and her last Twitter post on December 25th.

Hopefully, Teena and Rick James have met up again and are together somewhere, funkin’ it up.

The other half of the brilliant comedy duo from the classic film “Some Like It Hot” has passed on. Tony Curtis, the 50′s and early 60′s screen heartthrob went from Bernie Schwartz, to Tony Curtis, from a Oscar winning racist in “The Defiant Ones” alongside Sidney Poitier, to “Stony Curtis” in the Flintstones. Curtis steamed up the screen with bath scenes in Spartacus, to lighting up the canvas in his later years as a successful accomplished painter.

The father of actress Jamie Lee-Curtis passed away from a heart attack in his Las Vegas home at the tender age of 85, but has left behind a wealth of beautiful art both on and off screen.

Gratuitous full frontal nudity of a bunch of gym workout actors made the premiere of Starz first Television series very hard to watch. Of course I’m speaking for myself here. But the story and the “300″ styled effects nudged me to go ahead and tune in the following week. The second week came on with some pretty good writing which convinced me to tune in again and give it one more shot. The 3rd week was enough, Spartacus: Blood And Sand hooked me in, and I went on the ride all the way to the season finale, an episode of television that I, to this day, cannot stop talking about.

It’s well documented amongst my friends that the second season of the Starz hit can’t come soon enough, but sadly, it is not to be. Andy Whitfield, the shows star, and the bringer of pain to anyone in the way of his path to freedom, has quit the show. There can be no Spartacus without Spartacus.

Whitfield was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year. The actor took the time off between seasons to confront the diagnoses and win yet another battle before returning to Rome for more action packed blood lust. However, the actor has announced that he has non-Hodgkin lymphoma, a serious form of cancer, and he cannot return to the show. Whitfield will continue his battle with cancer, a battle he will hopefully win.

The shows producers say that there will be a show staring Lucy lawless and John Hannah. The show will chronicle time with Batiatus before his star gladiator arrived. The show is said to be set for 6 episode.

But that’s not what we tuned in to see. So, to recap. Spartacus the show is dead, long live Spartacus the actor.

Okay so, what the hell is wrong with Randy Quaid and his wife? First they ran out on a hotel bill after ransacking it. They then ran from the authorities before being picked up for a date with the mug shot camera. Not satisfied with that bit of not-so-rare celebrity fame, Randy and his wife decided to take another trip to the mug shot camera by way of squatting a house in Santa Barbara County, Ca.

The two have been arrested after the owner of the home in question informed the authorities that the Hollywood star and his wife lived in the home without permission. The owner who showed police the proof that the home did not belong to the Quaid’s, also showed proof of $5,000 in damages to the home.

The two were taken into custody and bail was set at $50,000 each.

Randy is going to need the cable networks to start playing a few of his movies in heavy rotation, because it seems doubtful that he will be getting any new gigs anytime soon.

Way back in 1991, Paul Reubens better known as Pee-Wee Herman, was the kid of Saturday morning TV. Pee-Wee’s Playhouse was in my opinion the best thing to hit Saturday morning since Sid&Marty Kroft. Then suddenly, like the flash of light that brought Pee-Wee to the world, cops in Sarasota, Florida took him away, literally. Reubens had been arrested for indecent exposure by way of masturbation in an Adult movie theater, and so went Pee-Wee’s Playhouse and any further Pee-Wee films.

Since that day Paul Reubens has tried to get back on track by starring in supporting roles in films like ‘Blow’. The actor has also revived Pee-Wee’s Playhouse and taken it on the road, but the one thing Paul has not done, is talk about the incident that derailed his career. Until now.
