The insanely funny and well done Tropic Thunder maintained its #1 position this week by beating out a action flick starring none other than Vin Diesel, Babylon A.D. However, there were a few surprises IMHO. Tropic Thunder is still ruling the box office as it should be, if you haven’t seen it yet, go see it, you’re going to have a great time. The Dark Knight is still hanging in there in the top five coming in at #3 and tallying $489. Arrested Development was one of those shows too smart for network television. Insanely great writing and acting by all involved. But there was no laugh track telling Fox viewers when to laugh so the highly respected critically acclaimed show lost its spot. It should have been on HBO or Showtime anyway.
