The insanely funny and well done Tropic Thunder maintained its #1 position this week by beating out a action flick starring none other than Vin Diesel, Babylon A.D.  However, there were a few surprises IMHO.

Bid For A Walk-On Role In Spider-Man 4

If it weren’t for the fact that I hated all three of these flicks, I would say that this is a good idea.  Okay whatever, this is a good idea.  Spider-Man 4, a film that as of yet, does not have the greenlight, could have in it’s midst an extra that paid serious cash to [...]

Tropic Thunder Rules Again!

Tropic Thunder is still ruling the box office as it should be, if you haven’t seen it yet, go see it, you’re going to have a great time.  The Dark Knight is still hanging in there in the top five coming in at #3 and tallying $489.  I’m not sure why, but “The House Bunny” [...]

Well it happened folks, a film finally came along that enough of you wanted to see that it beat out the box office king “the Dark Knight” which held the number 1 spot since it’s opening.
Tropic Thunder didn’t destroy it at the box office, but it did just enough to be #1 this weekend, [...]

Even though “Ben Stiller” is in this flick, a guy that I really don’t ever need to see in a flick again for the rest of my life, I cannot wait until the end of the opening credits, and the start of this film.  Until then, watch Robert Downey Jr., kill it in the [...]

The one movie that has had me actually very excited to see saw some protest from folks very unhappy with the fact the that word “retarded” is used in the film.  Part of me understand that this is a term that has been given a negative connotation over the years, but does it warrant this?  I don’t [...]

It’s a bad bootleg and I normally will never put these up, but I just couldn’t resist!

George Lucas has never had or been to a premiere of any of the Star Wars films, but he should up for the premiere of the newest animated film in the Star Wars saga.  He also talked to the cameras while there.

Movie Review: Fido – Bloody Funny!

Bloody is the operative word for this zombie movie spoof! In director Andrew Curries’s Fido (2006) set in 1950’s suburbia we find a world where Zombies have been tamed. This is in no way a horror movie, more a comedy with a good cast and an lighthearted plot.

11 year old Timmy Robinson’s (K’Sun Ray) best [...]

I’m not sure how much more one could discuss the Dark Knight, or better yet, how much more one can listen to discussions about The Dark Knight, But if you haven’ gotten your fill, then there maybe something special coming your way.
The word on the street has ti that The Dark Knight could get BD-Live [...]

ROSE MCGOWAN IS… RED SONJA!

Yes people, it seems to be true, well at least for now. At Comic-Con this week, ROSE MCGOWAN showed up with filmmaker ROBERT RODRIQUEZ to confirm she will be playing Red Sonja in the upcoming feature film. And earlier this month, it was reported that McGowan and boyfriend Rodriquez had split up, thus the breakup [...]

Sooo Katie, Mad Money instead of Batman II?  Yeah…umm, I know I know, your “husband” wink wink, had nothing to do with the decision, it was soley your own.  Wow, this has all got to sting, you know, your mediocre performance on Broadway, the handlers, the time away from your loving husband, I mean when [...]

Well it appears that Shia has luck on his side as he may only face misdemeanor DUI charges, however according to TMZ he injured his left hand and is having surgery performed on it.  The reason why it was only a misdemeanor is because his two passengers only had minor injuries, but attempting to make [...]

I am not going to go into my usual tirade about how difficult it is to a successful working actor in Hollywood, although I want to, I won’t.  Shia “I am too cool for school” LaBeouf was arrested this morning in Hollywood, Ca on a Felony DUI, according to TMZ. He was directly involved in [...]

It’s well known that British Actors have infiltrated American Movies and TV…..

In general if they keep their English accents it’s almost guaranteed that they are playing a villain. But of course there are the sneaky few that pull off such a convincing American accent that people have no idea that they are in fact British. [...]

And I agree.  Of course the co-founder of Miramax and co-chairman of the Weinstein Company, myself and any other Independent film maker won’t be able to convince a single person to do so, but the argument should at the very least be heard.

So the basic gist of what happened between Christian Bale, his mother Sharon and one of his sisters, Jenny, was that they hit him up for a loan, cough cough, of $200k prior to his most recent premiere of Batman 2.  Now the twist is that Christian doesn’t have a great relationship with either one [...]

Dead Man’s Shoes (2004) a crime thriller directed by Shane Meadows tells the story of Richard (Paddy Considine), a young man who comes home from the army only to find out that his mentally disabled brother, Anthony (Toby Kebbell), has fallen in with the wrong crowd.

A local gang of thugs and drug dealers have [...]

Just looking at the photo of Disney’s Ultimate Wall-E remote controlled robot I can tell that it’s going to be a whole lot more fun than the movie was.  Wall-E can talk to his owners, and let’s hope he can say more than two words (Eva, Wall-E), he can play music, dance and avoid obstacles. [...]

Dark Knight Beats Them All

The Dark Knight now holds the crown of “best opening weekend ever” by beating out Spider-Man 3, which is great because no movie as crappy as Spider-Man 3 should hold any sort of prestige.  The Dark Knight took in $66.4 million on its first day and ended out the weekend with a $155.34 take, making [...]

Okay, the talk that has been going around for a few weeks now about the posthumous Oscar that could be be awarded Heath Ledger is starting to get on my nerves.  I’m sure that I’m in the minority here and it’s a bit silly to even have this conversation when the film hasn’t even hit [...]

Microsoft And Netflix = XBox 360

For now, Netflix will only stream in about-SD resolution.

As Netflix transitions to HD, Microsoft said it stands to reason that streaming HD to the Xbox should be feasible. [...]

Arrested Development was one of those shows too smart for network television.  Insanely great writing and acting by all involved.  But there was no laugh track telling Fox viewers when to laugh so the highly respected critically acclaimed show lost its spot.  It should have been on HBO or Showtime anyway.
Chatter of a movie has been floating [...]
